Richard Baker is a retired makeup artist who worked in the second production unit for Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and served as creature supervisor for the cantina sequence in The Star Wars Holiday Special.[1]
He has won six Academy Awards, out of eleven nominations, for the films An American Werewolf in London (1981), Harry and the Hendersons (1988), Ed Wood (1994), The Nutty Professor (1996), Men in Black (1997), and How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000). Baker also worked on another Lucasfilm production, Captain EO, directed by Francis Ford Coppola and released in 1986 for the Disney Theme Parks.
