Rudi

Rudi was a Wookiee male who lived during the High Republic Era. He was the brother of Johgeshakka. On Life Day, he was the pilot of a shuttle carrying food for the feast, but his starship was shot down by the pirate Sellaccc Orryak and the Ganguls, who intended to ruin the Wookiees' celebrations, and Rudi was taken prisoner. The Jedi Initiates Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, and Nubs attempted to help Jo rescue Rudi and were also captured by the Ganguls; however, Daynaal, Orryak's nephew, freed the Wookiees and the Jedi. Rudi accompanied Daynaal to gather other Wookiees, and alongside the Jedi, stopped the Ganguls from cutting down the Life Day tree.^[1]
