The Ruac system was a part of the Dominus sector[1] in the Slice portion of[2] the Outer Rim Territories.[1] Several years before[4] some point in 2 ABY,[6] it was the site of[5] the Ruac Outpost of the Galactic Empire's Imperial Army.[4]

Behind the scenes

The Ruac system was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square U-7.[3]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for the Ruac Outpost in relation to the Ruac system.
  6. Alliance Intelligence Reports represents a collection of in-universe reports from "one year before the Battle of Hoth," which corresponds to 2 ABY, according to The New Essential Chronology.
