The Royal Security Forces marines raid on Mauler base was an operation carried out by Royal Naboo Security Forces marines under the command of Typho some time during the Galactic Civil War.
Background
- "We have need of someone to infiltrate the Mauler Stronghold by force and destroy their weapons cache."
- ―Captain Typho, to a spacer
The Maulers was one of the greatest threats to the citizens of Naboo during the early days of the Galactic Civil War.[8][9] When an unknown number of RSF agents, who had been involved in the successful raid on the Skaak Tippers island just of the coast of Kaadara, were placed in the command of Typho by Quarsh Panaka,[1] Typho offered a number of job in the local branches of RSF in Keren. One of these was to work for the Royal Marine Regiment and take part in a two-part operation staged against the Maulers.[8][9]
The operation
Stronghold infiltration
- "Great work with those explosives. Are you ready to do some more work for me?"
- ―Captain Typho, to a spacer
Both stages of the operation were directed at the Mauler Stronghold not too far from the city of Keren. The first stage consisted in the RSF marines confiscating four weapons caches that were scattered over the base. In the process several Maulers were killed.[8]
Stronghold elimination
The Mauler Stronghold.
- "Good work on the weapons cache, but now I need you to eliminate some of the more dangerous members of the Mauler organization."
- ―Captain Typho, to a spacer
Having successfully returned to Typho with the caches, the Marines were ordered back to the base, this time to assassinate four Mauler officers: the chief tactician Zolo Sartain, the chief of security Yarick Tempol, the assassin Xylan Kee'choap and the mystic Walus Mutin. The mission was a success, and the marines may possibly have killed some of the officers' aides as well as other members of the Maulers' ranks.[9]
Aftermath
- "Impressive work against the Mauler higher-ups."
- ―Captain Typho, to a spacer
A crippling blow to the Maulers, this operation did not stop them completely, and the RSF agents were dispatched on a handful of missions directed at the Maulers,[3][4] before being placed under the command of Pooja Naberrie.[11]

- ↑ The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
