Roy Arbogast worked as the Special Effects Supervisor on the 1983 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.[1] Arbogast manually operated the tentacles of the sarlacc with mechanical effects supervisor Kit West using poles and wires after sand fouled up their mechanism.[2]
