"Not fair! This is why Rouggle failed the trials!"
―Thame Cerulian comments on a version of the Trial of Skill in The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force[1]

Rouggle was a member of the Jedi Order during the last century of the Galactic Republic. A Force-sensitive, Rouggle trained as a Jedi and reached the rank of Padawan, but did not pass the Trials of Knighthood. When taking the Trial of Skill—a test of a prospective Jedi Knight's ability to retain self-discipline while distracted—floor tiles were shifted under Rouggle's feet during a lightsaber challenge, causing the Padawan to fail. Rouggle's friend, Thame Cerulian, commented on the particular version of the Trial of Skill in his copy of The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force, believing Rouggle's failure to have been unfair.[1]

Behind the scenes

Rouggle was first mentioned in The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force, a 2010 reference book written by Daniel Wallace.[1]
