Rodis was a primitive and war-torn[4] planet[5] located in the Rodis system of the Sugai sector,[1] one of the subsectors making up the Outer Zuma region[2] within the Outer Rim Territories' Zuma sector.[1] It was the homeworld of the Rodisar species, members of which waged seasonal[5] winter wars.[4]
Nilo was a Rodisar from Rodis who climbed the corrupt military ranks of his homeworld by bribing politicians, eventually attaining the rank of general.[4] At some point by 21.95 BBY,[6] Zygerrian enslavers kidnapped Nilo and his command staff, and the general was ultimately sold to war barons on[4] the planet Rattatak.[7]
Behind the scenes
Rodis was first mentioned in the StarWars.com Databank entry for the character Nilo, which had been published at some point by December 17, 2003. The character and the planet were named as an allusion to the name of Star Wars concept artist Nilo Rodis-Jamero.[4] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Rodis system, and therefore the planet, in grid square H-16.[3]

Star Wars: Clone Wars — "Chapter 6". Those events also include Asajj Ventress receiving her red lightsabers. Ventress later duels the Padawan Anakin Skywalker with those lightsabers in "Chapter 17," and The Clone Wars: Wild Space states that Skywalker was promoted to Jedi Knight from the rank of Padawan four weeks after the Battle of Geonosis, which occurred in 22 BBY according to The New Essential Chronology. Therefore, "Chapter 6" took place at some point by four weeks after the Battle of Geonosis. Since The New Essential Chronology confirms one month after the battle to be 21.95 BBY, and Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, Second Edition, Revised and Expanded states that one month was seven weeks, the episode can be further specified to have taken place by 21.95 BBY.
