The Rigovia system was a part of the Inner Rim.[1] It was situated on the super-hyperroute known as the Perlemian Trade Route, which connected it to the Chazwa, Tirahnn,[3] and Relatta systems[4] and served as the dividing line between the regions known as the Northern Dependencies and the Slice.[2]

The Rigovia system shared its name with the Rigovian Technical University.[5] Shortly before the Battle of Endor of 4 ABY, the former was the site of a Class II military shipyard used by the Galactic Empire. The output of the facility was limited to Imperial-class Star Destroyers.[3]

Behind the scenes

The Rigovia system was introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square N-8.[1]
