Richard LeParmentier (July 16, 1946[1]–April 15, 2013[2]) played Conan Antonio Motti in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. His character was credited as "General Motti."
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, LeParmentier relocated from the United States to the United Kingdom. He had done voice work in Soldiers: Heroes of World War 2 and also appeared in such films as Who Framed Roger Rabbit?. He was also once married to Sarah Douglas, known for her role as Superman villainess Ursa. He co-starred with her and Terence Stamp (who portrayed Finis Valorum in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace) in Superman 2.
LeParmentier died on April 15, 2013.[2]
