"I went to one of the Meetings out in deepspace, halfway from the Pits of Plooma to the Galactic Rim. All I cared about was sneaking in under the Ithorians' detection screens, handing off about a hundred kilos of rock ivory to Grambo the Worrt and getting out of there before the Imperials caught up with me, and it was still the most… I dunno. "Impressive" isn't the right word."
Han Solo, recalling a smuggling mission to Revyia[5]

Revyia was a planet in the Veragi sector of the Outer Rim, and the homeworld of the Revwien species.

Description

Revyia was a world on the outer fringes of the Outer Rim Territories,[1] and was situated in the Veragi sector,[2] halfway between the Pits of Plooma and the Galactic Rim.[5][6] The planet had jungles, lakes, and rivers, and had groves in its wild lands. The urpine was a species of carnivorous animal, known to fend off herds of marauding herbivores.[1]

History

Revyia was the homeworld of the Revwien species. Their history, recorded through seemingly contradictory myths and legends, told tales of great and powerful cities dominated by powerful artifacts, though archaeologists were unable to uncover evidence of a technological society in Revwien pre-history. The species lived in groves in the planet's wilds, with some groups keeping carnivorous animals as pets to fend off herbivores that could threaten the population. The world's major communities were an infrequent stop for several independent freighters, though Revwiens typically didn't prize material possessions and had little to offer as trade goods.[1]

In 30 BBY, the Tyia Force tradition was brought to the planet by a missionary aboard an independent freighter.[1]

Prior to joining the Rebel Alliance, Han Solo attended an Ithorian Herd Meet in deep space near Revyia in order to smuggle approximately one hundred kilograms of rock ivory to Grambo the Worrt.[5][6]
