The rescue of a Chiss Ascendancy excursion liner took place in the Unknown Regions. The liner belonged to the Ascendancy's Boadil family, and had been caught in the Gravity well of a triple-ringed gas giant planet. The liner was rescued by the Chiss patrol ship Boco and patrol cruiser Parala, commanded by Senior Commander Mitth'raw'nuru, core name "Thrawn," and Senior Captain Irizi'ar'alani ("Ziara"), respectively. However, rescuing the liner and it's 8,000 passengers came at the expense of the vessel's wings, which Thrawn shot off the lighten the ship and use the two patrol cruisers tractor beams to pull the liner out of the gas giant's gravity well. As a result, Thrawn was blamed for the damage to the ship, and his command of the Boco was revoked.[2]
