- "The corridor came out with a vault filled with cabinets, relics of the past suspended on repulsor pads, some behind glass, other protected by crackling force fileds."
- ―Dooku describes the Archive of Forbidden Artifacts to his sister Jenza
Repulsor pads were devices present in the Jedi Temple, located on the planet Coruscant, that could be used to train the Force power known as controlled descent[1] as well as suspending relics.[2] In 88 BBY,[3] Jedi Initiates Dooku and Sifo-Dyas broke into the Archive of Forbidden Artifacts, a secret vault located in the Jedi Temple, and saw several artifacts suspended on repulsor pads.[2]
Behind the scenes
Repulsor pads were first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in a flashback sequence in the 2019 audio drama Dooku: Jedi Lost, written by Cavan Scott.[2] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, repulsor pads were first mentioned in "Freedom Strike Seltos," an adventure written by Bill Smith and published as part of Twin Stars of Kira, a paperback supplement to Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game published by West End Games. The book was published in 1993.[4]
