Repulsor-barges were a type of repulsorcraft.[1] By 132 BBY,[2] during the High Republic Era, the human Ohal Alond was a repulsor-barge captain who ferried a variety of goods to and from Point Ueda, the capital city of the planet Ueda.[1]

Repulsor-barges originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity.

In the current Star Wars canon, repulsor-barges were mentioned in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, repulsor barges were first mentioned as "repulsorlift barges" in the Imperial Sourcebook, a 1989 supplemenet for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game written by Greg Gorden and published by West End Games.[3]

It was then identified as a repulsor barge and pictured for the first time in Platt's Starport Guide, a 1995 West End Games roleplaying written by Peter Schweighofer.[4] On January 14, 2004,[5] issue 107 of De Agostini's The Official Star Wars Fact File magazine explicitly identified[6] the Wreckage Excavation Vehicle[7] that appeared in the 2002 Pandemic Studios video game Star Wars: The Clone Wars[8] as a repulsorlift barge,[6] retroactively making the game the barges' first appearance.[8]
