The Republic army was an army of the Galactic Republic that was active in the government's early founding. When the Blood Monarchy joined the newly formed Republic, thousands of Thisspiasian warrior-monks volunteered to join the Republic army to bolster the Republic Military. This gave Thisspias a seat in the Galactic Senate,[1] but eventually, the Republic army and Republic Military were dissolved. At the onset of the Clone Wars, the Republic Military was reinstated through the creation of the Grand Army of the Republic and Republic Navy.[3]
