After the Battle of Yavin, Rek Thelcar was a member of the Lok Revenants and a lieutenant of their leader Nym. He used to work in Nym's palace, in the city known as Nym's Stronghold.[1]

In 1 ABY,[2] Thelcar was involved in most major operations of the Lok Revenants.[1][3][4] That year, the Lok Revenants assaulted the hideout of their enemies, the Sulfur Lake Pirates, to retrieve the valuable memory module of an Imperial droid.[5] Rek Thelcar tasked a spacer involved in this mission to place surveillance devices all around the hideout so he would be able to spy the pirates after the assault.[1] The same year, the Lok Revenants raided an Imperial mine where the release of an unknown toxic gas had made the miners become completely crazy and very hostile.[6] Thelcar requested the spacer to extract DNA samples from the enraged miners in order to understand the effects of the gas.[3] Later, the Revenants attacked an Imperial research facility on Lok to steal experimental weapons developed and produced there.[7] This time, Rek Thelcar asked the spacer to interrogate scientists in the facility to determine the nature of the researches conducted by the Empire.[4]

  2. The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
