Records was an organization within the New Republic during its reign.[1] At one point no earlier than 5 ABY,[2] astromech droids were being assigned to Records, alongside the New Republic Starfighter Corps, at a rate that left the Republic's droid pool flimsy. When introducing the GNK-series power droid Deegee-Aytseven to the New Republic operative Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra for an upcoming mission, Aphra questioned why she was being assigned the droid, to which Princess Leia Organa informed her about the rate of astromech assignments to Records and the Starfighter Corps.[1]

Behind the scenes

Records was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the fifth issue of the 2025 comic series Star Wars: Doctor Aphra – Chaos Agent. The issue was written by Cherish Chen and published by Marvel Comics[1] on October 29, 2025.[3]
