Rebel Vanguards were elite soldiers of the Rebel Alliance who carried E-60R missile launchers and wore uniforms derived from those of Alderaanian consular security.[1]

Behind the scenes

Rebel Vanguards appear in the 2014 mobile app Star Wars: Commander, where they must be unlocked through campaigns. They also appear in the Rise of the Empire expansion to the board game Star Wars: Rebellion.

In Legends canon, Alliance heavy troopers were first identified as vanguards in the 2004 video game Star Wars: Battlefront.
