A rapier was a type of of sword that was typically made of flexisteel and used for fencing. Sabers, foils, and epées were specific types of rapier.[2] The weapons were known for their greater precision. In contrast to the broadsword, it also served as a metaphor for a style of combat relying predominantly on strategy.
