A battalion^[1] was active within the Imperial Army of the Galactic Empire during the invasion of Mon Cala, and was under the command of Major Rantu. The battalion was part of the first wave of the Imperial invasion of Mon Cala,^[2] and participated in the initial Battle of Dac City against the Mon Cala planetary defense services. Major Rantu coordinated the assault from a command base, and was presumed dead along with their forces when the Mon Cala forces destroyed every surface city.^[1]
