Rakit was an Evocii slave who lived on Nal Hutta, specifically on the Minboosa District. She was one of the leaders of the Minboosa workers uprising alongside Adi Vonapa.[2]

Biography

Early life

Before the age of fifteen, Rakit witnessed her entire family as well as countless of her friends killed at the hands of the Hutts' brutality in the subsequent years. Although, Rakit had heard many stories about her people's history before they were enslaved, but none had motivated her to act until she was sold to the crime lord Vobbara Yusinduu, a Hutt that owned the Minboosa District on Nal Hutta. It was there that Rakit met Adi Vonapa, a young Rodian who was also a slave. Unlike Rakit, Vonapa had seen parts of the galaxy that weren't controlled by the oppressive Hutts.[1]

Encountering the Alliance Commander

"When Mandalorians showed up, we thought that was the end. Turns out they had nothing to do with Yusinduu."
―Rakit to the Alliance Commander about the Hidden Chain[3]

During the third Galactic War, former Jedi Padawan Sa'har Kateen and the Alliance Commander traveled to Nal Hutta to steal one of the Hidden Chain's shuttles and prevent Heta Kol from using Darth Nul's holocron to create an army of Force-sensitive Mandalorian shock troopers. After the confrontation with Yusinduu, Adi Vonapa managed to save the Commander from a guard attempting to kill them and informed Sa'har and the Commander that the shuttle was in the refinery's hangar the exact location Vonapa and the workers were attempting to get into. Rakit and the workers had spent months planning a way to get in, but they lacked many of the people to execute the plan.[2] While Vonapa was checking on Sa'har, Rakit secretly gave the Commander coordinates to an Evocii rebel camp on Nal Hutta and that she had already made contact with them and willing to take them in.[4]

Minboosa uprising

While Rakit was trying to overload the turret defenses and Vonapa was repairing the freight elevator at the refinery, a safety protocol set up by Yusinduu kept overriding their efforts. Rakit informed the Commander that if Yusinduu knew what they were doing before the turrets were overloaded, they would all have a bad time. However, Rakit shared a few ideas and remained hopeful. When everyone were on the landing platform, they fought against Yusinduu. After defeating Yusinduu, the workers boarded the shuttle.[5]

Rakit first appeared in the 2024 Game Update 7.5 of Star Wars: The Old Republic: Legacy of the Sith, the eighth digital expansion to the massively multiplayer online role-playing game Star Wars: The Old Republic.[6]
