Raichlings[2] were a large snail-like species which existed on Endor. They lived in mud, which they were able to slide across. They were also able to communicate with Ewoks, as Teebo asked several Raichlings to allow him and his friends to ride on their backs across a sea of mud in the native Raichling language. The Raichlings appeared to be on friendly terms with the Ewoks, as they gladly accepted Teebo's request.[1]

Behind the scenes

Raichlings appeared in the Ewoks episode "Malani the Warrior,"[1] which was originally broadcast on December 13, 1986.[3] The spelling of the species' name was first revealed in the Disney+ subtitles.[2]
