A raccoon was a type of creature with a black mask across their eyes.[1] In 3.5 ABY,[2] when the Wookiee Chewbacca disguised himself as the bounty hunter Snoova as part of a plan to infiltrate Black Sun leader Prince Xizor's fortress, his disguise gave him a raccoonlike mark across his eyes.[1] The Colonies[3] planet Mycroft had a large creature that, while similar in appearance to a black bear, had hands like those of a raccoon.[4]
Behind the scenes
Raccoons were first mentioned in Paul Murphy's 1988 roleplaying game scenario "Assault on Repair Station M13." The scenario was created for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game and published in the Star Wars Campaign Pack.[4] In the real world, raccoons are omnivorous furred mammals with bandit-like masks across their eyes.[5]
