R7 was an R-series astromech droid that served with Captain Carson Teva during the New Republic Era.[2]
Behind the scenes
R7 first appeared in "Chapter 10: The Passenger," the tenth episode of the Disney+ series Star Wars: The Mandalorian, which was directed by Peyton Reed.[2] The droid wouldn't be identified until the twenty first episode, "Chapter 21: The Pirate," which was directed by Peter Ramsey.[3]
