R5-PHT was a black and silver plated R5 series astromech droid that served the Galactic Empire. It was equipped with a Kerner Optical holographic projector and had black sensors.[2] Like all R5 astromech droids, it was manufactured by Industrial Automaton and stood ninety-seven centimeters tall.[1]
In 13 BBY,[3] the droid was stationed in Coronet Spaceport in Coronet City on the planet Corellia. It stood by an Imperial officer in front of an elevated duty station while the scrumrats Han Solo and Qi'ra tried to sneak through the spaceport's Imperial customs gates. It remained stationary when a group of stormtroopers and members of the White Worms gang rushed past it with two Corellian hounds in pursuit of the fugitives.[4]
Behind the scenes
R5-PHT was created for the 2018 Anthology film, Solo: A Star Wars Story.[4] The droid was first revealed prior to the film's release as part of a Star Wars: Droid Factory toy set produced by Hasbro earlier in 2018.[5]
