R4-E1

R4-E1 (pronounced Arfour-Eeone) was a vehicle computer-operation droid in a standard casing of the R4-series astromech droid.^[1]

Biography

R4-E1 was capable of repairing and piloting numerous vehicles. R4-E1 developed a rambunctious, fiercely independent personality. He was the companion of the spacer, smuggler and outlaw tech, BoShek.^[2]

In 0 BBY, R4-E1 was passing by Mos Eisley's Spaceport Speeders when Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi sold Skywalker's X-34 landspeeder to help pay Han Solo for passage to Alderaan.^[3][4]
