R2-N3 was an R2-series astromech droid[4] that was stationed onboard the Naboo Royal Starship. During the Invasion of Naboo, Queen Padmé Amidala and others attempted to break through the blockade surrounding the planet. R2-N3 was deployed onto the hull of the ship when the shield generator was damaged, but was quickly shot down by Trade Federation battleships.[2]
