The manufacturing company QuietLift produced repulsorlift engines that did not produce the shimmer between a vehicle using the engine and the planetary surface it was pushing against, which was produced by some short-range repulsorlifts.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, QuietLift was mentioned in the article "Repulsorlifts," which was published in the "Secrets of Spaceflight" department of the thirty-eighth issue of De Agostini's Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine[1] around September 23, 2015.[2] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the QuietLift 1400 was a repulsorlift engine that was first mentioned in The Star Wars Sourcebook, a 1987 supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game written by Bill Slavicsek and Curtis Smith and published by West End Games.[3]
