"The team at Sienar confirmed [Cassian Andor] got away clean."
"That's it?"
"It was a pulse code. Not a conversation."
―Kleya briefing Luthen regarding Cassian's mission at Sienar[1]

A pulse code was a method of one-way communication across realspace. In 4 BBY, Spymaster Luthen Rael and his associate Kleya Marki received a pulse code from spies at Sienar Test Facility 73 that Axis network rebel Cassian Jeron Andor safely escaped from a mission to steal the TIE Avenger prototype.[1]

Behind the scenes

"Pulse code" was first mentioned in "One Year Later," the first episode of the second season of the live-action series Star Wars: Andor, which was released on Disney+[1] on April 22, 2025.[2]
