The Godsheart was a pulsar.
A pulsar was a rapidly rotating neutron star.[1] There were several pulsars in the galaxy,[2] including 2GS-91E20,[3] the Bedlam Pulsar, the Din Pulsar, the Godsheart,[2] the Oolex Pulsar,[4] the Thornhedge Pulsar,[2] and the Vestor Pulsar.[5] A pulsar was also located within the Unknown Regions.[6] They were considered to be natural hazards.[7]
Behind the scenes
Pulsars were first mentioned in Galaxy Guide 8: Scouts, a 1993 West End Games supplement to Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, and a pulsar first made an in-universe appearance in the 2011 novel Riptide, written by Paul S. Kemp.
