The Prince of Waves was a tourist liner that had been in operation for over a century[1] prior to 3643 BBY.[2] Sometime by that year, the Prince of Waves carried passengers on its centennial voyage around the ocean world of Manaan. However, the tourist liner sunk during the journey and came to rest balancing on the edge of an ocean trench.[1]

By that year,[2] an individual associated with one of the two sides in the ongoing struggle between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire sent a companion to search for the wreck of the Prince of Waves. The companion found the wreck on the edge of the trench and recovered riches left by the liner's crew and passengers.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Prince of Waves was mentioned in the Crew Skill Mission "Rust and Riches" in the 2011 BioWare video game, Star Wars: The Old Republic.[1] The mission was initially only available to Galactic Republic players,[3] though both this restriction and the information about the mission's outcome are no longer a part of the game.[1]

  2. 2.0 2.1 2.2 Per the reasoning here, Act I of Star Wars: The Old Republic takes place around 3643 BBY. Since players of The Old Republic can assign their companions on the mission "Reclaim What's Ours" independently of the main class storyline at any point during the game, the mission must take place at some point around 3643 BBY. Furthermore, as "Reclaim What's Ours" occurs following the sinking of the Prince of Waves on its centennial voyage, the Prince of Waves must have been in operation for at least a century prior to 3643 BBY.
