The Prime Senate Spire was a building on[1] the planet[2] Coruscant. It had a residential section that was two kilometers higher than most of the Galactic City.[1] Between 29 BBY[3] and 1 BBY,[4] Imperial Grand Moff[5] Wilhuff Tarkin owned an apartment high in the residential section of the building.[1] In the latter year,[4] the Grand Moff and his wife Thalassa were present in the apartment when he informed her of his new assignment aboard the Death Star[5] battle station.[6]
Behind the scenes
The Prime Senate Spire appeared in Rogue Planet, a 2000 novel by author Greg Bear.[1] It was first pictured on the trading card "Grand Moff Tarkin," published as part of the trading card subset "One Year Earlier" from the 2013 Topps Star Wars Illustrated: A New Hope series[5] on November 6, 2013.[7]
