Preigo

Preigo was a Dug male and the manager of a traveling circus act known as Preigo's Traveling World of Wonder.

Biography

Preigo was a Dug ringmaster of a nomadic troupe of entertainers, Preigo's Traveling World of Wonder, active during the years of the Clone Wars. Aboard his colorfully decorated freighter, Preigo carried an exotic menagerie of amusements and diversions to delight the downtrodden.^[1] For a modest fee,^[2] Preigo's traveling performers -- Twi'lek acrobats, Aleena tumblers, Gamorrean clowns, and trained creatures^[1] of various stripe, fur, and scale^[2] -- put on performances to entertain the masses.^[1] He would introduce the main event, dramatically riding into the spotlight atop a trained narglatch.^[2] His waxed musatche was the envy of every Dug this side of Malastare.^[3]

In 20 BBY,^[4] Preigo traveled to the planet Florrum after making a special agreement to go again for Hondo Ohnaka. The last time he visited him was quite disappointing when one of his artists was decapitated by one of Hondo's pirates. Preigo hoped that he would do a great job to impress Hondo since he was afraid to mess up. On the way to Hondo's base, he met five circus acrobats who immediately showed their best side note. However, he had no idea that these acrobats were in fact Jedi Initiates that were on a mission to rescue Padawan Ahsoka Tano.^[1]

During the performance, the Younglings took action by rescuing Ahsoka and were able to cause a distraction. This caused a lot of commotion, in which Preigo did not hesitate and was afraid of what Hondo would do to him. He immediately launched his ship and left the planet.^[1]

Personality and traits

A fastidious Dug with a huge handlebar^[2] waxed^[3] mustache and outsized personality, Preigo was a perfectionist who felt the show must always go on, especially in times of war and hardship.^[2] He used to wear a small hat.^[5]
