- "As you must now know, your courier has failed to deliver these government documents. If you wish to get them back, you must bring me 1,000,000 credits. I await your response."
- ―Preens B'oola
Preens B'oola was a male Twi'lek criminal who lived on Corellia during the time of the Galactic Civil War. Following the Battle of Yavin in 0 BBY, B'oola was leading a group of thugs active around Coronet City.[2] In 1 ABY,[1] Preens B'oola assassinated a courier working for the Corellian government in a street of Coronet City. His objective was to steal the government documents that the courier was carrying for ransom. Gallura Handerin, a government aide at the Coronet Capitol, thus tasked a spacer with finding the missing courier. The spacer eventually found the dead courier and a message from B'oola, asking for a huge ransom of 1,000,000 credits. The spacer, who was also working as a CorSec agent for Lieutenant Mack Jasper, tracked Preens B'oola to his camp on the outskirts of Coronet City and finally killed him to recover the government documents.[2]
Behind the scenes
Preens B'oola was a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[2] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[3]
Preens B'oola was added to the game with the release of the "Publish 25," a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.[4] He was part of questline that featured the Rogue CorSec plot against the Diktat.[2] This story arc was later slightly revamped with the release of the "Publish 27," on February 15, 2006,[5] as the questline was integrated into the "Legacy Quest," the main questline in the game.[2]

Notes and references
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
