Prae'tus[2] was a sentient species that existed in the galaxy. Volo Bolus was a member of this species.[1] They were commonly mistaken for the similar-looking Nikto Ijosap'sai species.[3]
Biology and appearance
This humanoid sentient species was distinguished by their blue and tan scaly skin, with two pairs of arms, the upper possessing five fingers, while the lower only had three. Additionally, the species had solid black eyes, exposed nostrils, and a series of ten small orange spikes encircling their faces.[1]
Species in the galaxy
By around 10 BBY,[4] a member of this species, Volo Bolus, flew as a podracer alongside the legendary Dug pilot Sebulba.[1]

Prae'tus is a species created for the virtual reality video game Star Wars: Beyond Victory - A Mixed Reality Playset;[2] however, the species first appeared in the comic book one-shot Beyond Victory 1,[5] which acts as a tie-in to the aforementioned video game.[6] Following the release of Star Wars: Beyond Victory - A Mixed Reality Playset, Bolus' species was identified as a "Prae'tus" in the game's journal, though they were also identified as a "Nikto Ijosap'sai" via an Aurebesh writing found in the game.[2] When asked about it, game director Jose Perez III explained that the error was entirely in-universe with "Prae'tus" being the intended species name.[3]
