Powertech

A powertech was a type of bounty hunter that appeared during the years of the Great Galactic War and the Cold War that followed it circa 3653 BBY.^[1] Powertechs wore powered armor, served the resurgent Sith Empire and were known for their use of wrist-mounted flamethrowers and personal energy shields as well as their ability to absorb impressive amounts of damage in battle.^[2]

The powertech is an advanced class for the bounty hunter class in the Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO video game. This advanced class specializes in defense, utilizing their custom-made armor, and absorbing damage in battle. The Republic counterpart for this archetype is the Trooper vanguard specialization.^[2]
