R2-D2 attempts to hook into a power socket.
- "Don't look at me. I'm an interpreter, I'm not supposed to know a power socket from a computer terminal."
- ―C-3PO to R2-D2
A power socket was a device that allowed a piece of technology to connect to a power source, thus recharging it.
While hastening to leave Cloud City, R2-D2 mistook a power socket for a computer terminal, nearly frying himself in the process. Chewbacca, however, disconnected the astromech droid from the socket.
