The power control room was the operations center for the control and distribution of power to both the Senate Building and Republic Executive Building on Coruscant.
History
Around 21 BBY, Cad Bane's posse infiltrated the Senate in order to force the release of Ziro the Hutt from prison. The group took over the power control room, leaving Robonino to override the system. He succeeded in cutting primary power, sealing off both buildings.
At the time of the take over, the room was occupied by a blue protocol droid, a blue R5 astromech droid, a WED-15 Treadwell and an LEP servant droid. All were destroyed by one of Bane's IG-86 sentinel droids.
