Just after the Battle of Yavin, the Alliance Fleet regrouped in the Pothor system in the Mid Rim. It was there that the Rebels were scheduled to meet with Commander Gial Ackbar and two prototype B-wing starfighters after the Battle of Roche. It was intended that upon Ackbar's arrival to the Pothor system, he was to be promoted to the rank of admiral.[2]
Behind the scenes
The 1990 Voyages SF #13 article "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, How I Wonder Where We Are", which was published without Lucas Licensing and is thus non-canon, lists a "Togor" system attributed to Strike Force: Shantipole, of which appearances "Pothor system" is the closest match. As the Voyages SF article had already placed the Thanos system (in which the planet Togoria was already canonically placed) in the erroneously spelled, "Tau Sekar sector", prior to the Star Wars: The Essential Atlas Online Companion definitively placing Thanos system in the Taldot sector,[1] the "Togor" mention in Voyages SF #13 is assumed to be an erroroneous listing of "Pothor".[3]
