Posting agencies were offices where bounties were posted. Some had access to the Imperial Enforcement DataCore, a network that contained information regarding the law enforcement activities of the Galactic Empire and its agents, which could be accessed by Imperial personnel and licensed bounty hunters from computer consoles. A posting agency was located in the planet Lothal's Capital City spaceport.[1]
Behind the scenes
Posting agencies were first mentioned in Galaxy Guide 9: Fragments from the Rim, a 1993 Star Wars Legends supplement written by Simon Smith and Eric Trautmann for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[2] They became canon when one appeared in Ezra's Gamble, a junior novel written by Ryder Windham[1] that was released on August 5, 2014.[3]
