During the Clone Wars, the Jabiimite Spokesbeing Alto Stratus^[5] led the Jabiimi Nationalists^[4] in a political coup^[2] against the ruling Jabiim Congress of the Outer Rim planet Jabiim. Stratus had his Nimbus commandos assassinate key members of the ruling Jabiim Congress, and then used his influence to ally Jabiim with the Confederacy of Independent Systems.^[1] A few of the Jabiimi Loyalists managed to escape the purge, including Captain Orliss Gillmunn, who had been the only opposition to Stratus until the Jedi arrived during the Battle of Jabiim.^[3]
