Lythian pirate raids

The Lythian pirate raids were a number of attacks done by^[3] Lythian pirates^[4] on the planet Jabiim during the Great Peace of the Republic.^[3] During the raids, the pirates besieged small communities^[5] and killed many people, including Alto Stratus' parents.^[4] The Jabiimi special forces proved instrumental in driving off the pirates.^[1]

After the raids, Alto Stratus never forgot that neither the Galactic Republic nor the Jedi Knights traveled to Jabiim to eliminate the threat,^[2] and cited the past record of Republic apathy to fuel public support in the Clone Wars during the Battle of Jabiim.^[5]
