The Plooriod Cluster was a location in the galaxy[1] that shared its name with the Lesser Plooriod Cluster, a location that contained the Urce sector.[2] The Umbaran artist Moshenu Phobi worked in printing houses in the Plooriod Cluster until they drew censure from the Galactic Republic for hiding anti-Republic messages in official communications and defected to the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The book A History of Persuasive Art in the Galaxy, which released not long after the Hosnian Cataclysm[1] of 34 ABY,[3] mentioned the Plooriod Cluster.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Plooriod Cluster was mentioned in Star Wars Propaganda: A History of Persuasive Art in the Galaxy, a 2016 reference book written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Greater Plooriod Cluster was first mentioned in Galaxy Guide 1: A New Hope, a supplement to Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game written by Grant S. Boucher and published by West End Games.[4] The Lesser Plooriod Cluster was first mentioned in the 1980 Legends novel Han Solo and the Lost Legacy, the final volume of the Star Wars: The Han Solo Adventures trilogy by Brian Daley.[5] Both the Greater Plooriod Cluster and Lesser Plooriod Cluster made their first appearances in Star Wars: X-Wing Tour of Duty: Imperial Pursuit, a 1993 expansion for the LucasArts video game Star Wars: X-Wing.[6]
