Plankton was a type of mollusk and was part of the mollusk harvest. According to C-3PO, the reports showed a 3.2% increase in plankton bounty between 0 ABY and 1 ABY.[1]
Behind the scenes
Plankton were first mentioned in Star Wars (2015) 47, the third comic the Mutiny at Mon Cala arc. The comic was released in 2018 and was written by Kieron Gillen.[1] In Star Wars Legends plankton was first mentioned in the West End Games sourcebook, Planets of the Galaxy, Volume One.[2]
