Planet-borers were huge vehicles produced by Imperial engineers with the purpose of excavating through a planet's crust. To do this, the borer possessed a massive strong 'head' that drilled through rock and stone. Once the machine made its way through, Imperial ground forces begin to create tunnels and passageways.
