A phone was a communications device that permitted two or more users to conduct a conversation when they were not in the same vicinity of each other to be heard directly. They were found in many public places on the planet Coruscant, such as the area around the top of the mountain Umate,[1] in the lower market districts,[2] and one of the areas affected by the power outage caused by the bombing of Coruscant's central power distribution grid.[3]
