The Penga system was located in the Slice portion of[2] the Inner Rim.[1] It shared its name with the starship Penga Rift.[3]

The Penga system was introduced in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, which placed it in grid square N-10.[1]
