Pelayus was a human officer that served within a splinter faction of the Galactic Empire under the leadership of Grand Moff Ubrik Adelhard, holding the rank of lieutenant. During the Battle of Jakku, Pelayus served onboard the bridge of the Scepter, alerting his leader when one of their TIE fighters — which had been commandeered by the New Republic agent Therisa Alern — opened fire on the Star Destroyer. Later, after reporting that the pirated starfighter was both outgunned and outnumbered, the officer alerted the Moff about the sudden arrival of Liberty's Misrule, a captured Executor-class Star Dreadnought that was commanded by the pirate ruler Eleodie Maracavanya.[1]
Equipment
The Imperial officer had a standard gray Imperial uniform with a rank insignia plaque that contained a row of two red tiles with two blue tiles directly below as well as a single code cylinder in the left pouch. Additionally, the officer made use of an Imperial kepi with an officer's disk. The officer had fair skin and short brown hair.[1]

Pelayus was introduced and in "Tipping Point," a comic story published in the third issue of the 2024 comic limited series Star Wars: Battle of Jakku — Last Stand.[1]
