Patrick Kennedy (born August 26, 1977) is a British actor who portrays a First Order officer in the 2019 film Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker. He is known for playing the lead role in ITV's Murder on the Home Front, Sampson in ITV's Downton Abbey, and recurring roles in Boardwalk Empire, Hulu's The First, and Mrs Wilson for the BBC.
Kennedy in The Rise of Skywalker
In The Rise of Skywalker, Kennedy plays a First Order Supreme Council member attending the meeting in which Kylo Ren presents the head of Boolio and declares that there is a spy within the First Order. The character only appears in a single shot, during the wide shot where Kylo Ren says, "We have a spy in our ranks, who just sent a message to the Resistance." His presence in the scene actually creates a continuity problem, as for the remainder of the scene, the chair he is sitting in (between a man with grey hair, played by Mark Richard Durden-Smith, and General Quinn) is occupied by Allegiant General Pryde. This is best seen when Quinn says, "These allies on Exegol...".[1]
