Allegiant General was a rank in the First Order military that held power over both ground and space-based forces, making it an equivalent to that of a Grand Marshal.[3] Historian Beaumont Kin further theorized that the rank had something to do with instilling loyalty within those under the holder's command and maintaining the Neo-Imperial ideology of the First Order.[4]

The rank was held by Admiral Enric Pryde[6] during the war between the First Order and the Resistance. General Armitage Hux believed that Supreme Leader Kylo Ren had promoted Pryde to allegiant general as a way to mock him, and also believed that all officers and stormtroopers present on the bridge of the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer Steadfast knew it as well.[7] As a result of the alliance between the First Order and the Sith Eternal, Allegiant General Pryde ascended to command the armies of Darth Sidious.[5]
