- "As human parents began to question falling grades and seemingly unruly classes it did not take long for them to call upon schools to segregate their children away from the 'aliens' who were apparently ruining their education."
- ―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire
Parental Petitions was a file stored in the "Education" section of the Talus Archives that had information on petitions made by the parents of human children who wanted schools on the Core Worlds planet Talus to segregate their children from non-human ones. The Imperial Planetary Governor of Talus, Ili P'tan, had grades manipulated by an algorithm so that parents would notice that the grades of children in classes taught by members of a different species were falling, and classes with a pronounced mix of humans and non-humans began to be held after school as punishment for "disruptive elements." As a result, human parents soon made petitions calling for schools to segregate humans away from non-humans, who they believed were ruining their children's education. Within weeks, laws were passed to segregate schools on Talus. In 35 ABY,[2] the file was referenced by the historian Beaumont Kin in[1] his[3] book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire.[1]

- ↑ Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire states that thirty years have passed since the end of the Galactic Civil War and months have passed since the Battle of Exegol. As Star Wars: Timelines dates the end of the war to 5 ABY and the Battle of Exegol to 35 ABY, the in-universe The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire must have been published in 35 ABY.
